Jardin de Cocagne 1
Creation of a community-supported garden in Villeneuve d’Ascq

Sponsors: Bouygues Bâtiment Nord-Est

Solidarité et Initiative (‘Solidarity and Initiative’) was founded in 2009, to combat social exclusion through developing economic and educational activities.

Terre Plurielle is helping the organisation develop a community-supported organic garden, as a means to professional and social reintegration, based on the principle that stakeholders themselves harvest the produce, which is then sold to customers who are members of the scheme.

This cooperative garden is right next to the new Norpac HQ, whose employees therefore have easy access to organic produce.
