Experimental social inclusion site at Crolles in France

“Solid Action”, established in 2001, works with people suffering from severe exclusion. As part of an experimental re-integration project, fifteen people without access to the job market are carrying out various manual activities: maintaining green spaces, cleaning, removal work. Terre Plurielle is participating in the purchase of an open lorry that will assist them in their daily work.

INCITE
Training in computer maintenance and repairs for young people in France and Senegal

The INCITE association, a re-insertion organisation established in 1998, seeks to narrow the numeracy gap in Cergy-Pontoise. It offers long-term unemployed young people re-insertion projects in the maintenance and repair of computers. As part of the twinning arrangement between Cergy-Pontoise and Thiès in Sénégal, young people trained in France go to Africa to train young people there in the use of computers.

Jardin de Cocagne 2
Construction of a wooden storage shed

In 2010, in Villeneuve d’Ascq and with the backing of Terre Plurielle, the Solidarité & Initiative non-profit organisation created a Jardin de Cocagne, a market garden geared towards occupational and social insertion. The foundation had financed the building of a greenhouse.

Terre Plurielle is continuing with its commitment to the project by funding part of a 400-m² agricultural shed which will serve to store and organise harvested produce, provide space for farming equipment and welcome member-consumers.

A sporting programme aimed at bringing together young people from difficult areas with Portsmouth’s young disabled
The meeting of two worlds: young disabled and young in difficulty

The “Pompey Sports and Education Foundation” set up in 2007, offers sporting activities to young people from sensitive areas in Portsmouth. For the second year running, Terre Plurielle is financing a programme aimed at bringing together young disabled people and those facing social problems. The programme is meeting with great success in the local community: delinquency is on the decrease and some young people are obtaining diplomas, enabling them to work with the disabled.

Access to education and sport for underprivileged children in Morocco
Fitting out a room for cultural activities

Founded in 2004, “The Children of the Morocco Oval” is an educational and sporting support association for children living in an underprivileged environment. It works with 300 children from a shanty town close to Rabat. In 2010, Terre Plurielle co-financed a hall, called the “Plurielle” hall, which is open to use by children for cultural activities. The request for financing related to interior and exterior improvements to the hall.
