Epilepsie France
Organisation of weekends for epileptic adolescents requiring specialised care
Read more +

Sponsors:
Many epileptic adolescents cannot gain access to leisure and holiday camp facilities because the word "epilepsy" makes people afraid. Lack of knowledge about the illness, responsibility for epileptic attacks and remedial action to be carried out are also barriers to integration in socio-educational organisations. The "Epilepsie France" association, whose goal is to inform, advise and support epileptic individuals and those close to them, intends to organise six weekends a year in self-catering accommodation accessible to the handicapped.
Terre Plurielle is contributing financially to this project, which encourages the young people taking part to socialise, improve their self confidence and independence, while relieving their families for a weekend.
